Necromancer for Alliance Battles
Profession: Necromancer/Assassin
Type: Alliance Battle
Category: Damage
Attributes:
Blood Magic: 12+3+1
Soul Reaping: 8+2
Shadow Arts: 10
Skill Set:
Vampiric Gaze (Blood Magic)
Dark Pact (Blood Magic)
Life Siphon (Blood Magic)
Barbed Signet (Blood Magic)
Heart of Shadow (Shadow Arts)
Life Transfer {Elite} (Blood Magic)
Dark Escape (Shadow Arts)
Viper's Defense (Shadow Arts)
Summary:
This build is about damage, survival, and speed (all crucial to Alliance Battle). As a necromancer, your target will usually choose you.
First, I'll discuss physical opponents. Use life siphon as they approach. If they reach you at this point, use Heart of Shadow-->Life Transfer-->Vipers Defense. At this point you can spam the rest of the spells. If you feel you're going to go down, use Dark Escape to flee and allow the siphon to heal you a bit. Viper's Defense and Heart of Shadow are surprisingly spammable and can keep the opponent chasing you with only a few hits in between.
Against spike builds, don't use Viper's Defense but instead Dark Escape. Since Blood Magic are not attacks, it will not turn off as you spam spells. You will reduce the spikes damage by half while maintaining the health-stealing damage. Since the Necromancer spell casts times are so long, you can put on Dark Escape as your using a spell. If the damage is too much, use the speed buff to hide behind a wall and then resume damage.
One note: Barbed Signet can be used regularly, but if you notice repetitive Backfire or if an assassin uses Shadow Form, Barbed Signet will be able to cast through it. In this way, it keeps you from being completely useless.
Concerns:
Energy management is completely conditional. If no one's dying, you're struggling. Both Life Transfer and Dark Escape will last 12 seconds with a 30 second recharge. This means that, if you need, you can have 12 seconds of very high survivability followed by 18 seconds of vulnerability. Plan them well. Spam Dark Pact during this time if you're not being targeted.
As with most Necromancer builds, stay out of range of the interrupters.

4.Desecrate Enchantments (curses)
5.Defile enchantments (curses)
6.Free slot
7.consume corpse(death magic)
8.ressurection signet
weapon set: The stonereaper or wand + focus curses set what you like
best armor set: energy scars; cantha energy armors.
This build owned all Cantha(well...it aint works very good on some missions, but works ). It's deal big AoE dmg. with henchies one enemie group die in less than 1min. Non stop i see -37,-60,-80,-101
how to work with it: use arcane echo, cast 2 SS best on warriors, who run to you like battle ataxes :P. then use another 2 spiteful spirits on casters (sometimes u can cast only one, because arcane echo recharges instead ss). Than just play with desecrate and defile enchantments on big groups. When you use putrid explosion you just start "train of death" (i loved prenerf putrid explosion ;D). Use consume corpse for energy points.
ps. sorry for my english

15 in curses = 11 curses (+1 face scar, + 3 superior rune)
11 in Blood Magic = 10 + minor rune
9 swordsmanship
4 soul reaping = 3 + minor rune
Skills set :
Hamstring
Spinal Shivers/ Shivers of the dread
Faintedheartness
Enfeeble

Offering of Blood {E}
Flurry
Resurrection signet / or Rigor MOrtis is recommended if going into an alliance battle, or again sprint to escape a nasty situation
Weapons :
+5 energy sword with a cold dmg mod on it, and with a +hp mod aswell.
20/20 curses focus
And keep a following focus in backup if u run out of energy and need some right now.
Energy +12 (req.9 curses or blood)
Energy +15
Energy regeneration -1
Health +30
Summary :
This build is mainly designed to interrupt casters, and kill off touch rangers.
CAst spinal shivers on your target, cast parasitic, run up to them, use hamstring, and keep using flurry to interrupt and do some good dmg.
Keep renewing parasitic bond, and when in need of energy, cast offering of blood.
If while running this build you are bugged by some not toucher rangers or warriors, use faintedheartness, enfeeble, and if they catch up with you, hamstring them, and run away. Or again, if you decided to put sprint for an alliance battle you will have a good chance of escaping.
IN alliance battle after casting parasitic bond, it is a good idea to cast rigor mortis on your enemy, to make sure they dont evade or block your interrupts.
That is if you havent favored sprint to rigor mortis.
Notes & concerns : keep in mind that the necromancer has a fragile armor, so running into the fray right away will most likely end up with you being a dead necromancer.
Watch out for energy denial mesmers. They will most likely ruin your day.
This build is made to take out casters 1 by 1, so if your up against many of them, and theyre targeting you, it might end badly.
Credits : I would like to thank alot Loci, the guy on top of me, for inspiring me in making this build.
I would appreciate any feedback, and tips to make this build better.

285 BiP/OoP, 105/55 BiP/OoP and 105 FoW battery
Here's the thread for these builds: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10020386
Copy/Pasted from thread
285 BiP/OoP
Attributes...
285 health (3 sup runes and 1 minor vigor0
54 energy (+12 energy 20/20 idol and totem axe along with +energy armor)
16 blood
12 soul reaping
9 healing
Spare points can go in area of third sup rune for either enfeebling blood or consume corpse.
Skills...
Blood is Power {E}
Order of Pain
blood renewal
Well of blood (this is situational)
Heal area or faction's equivalent
mending (must be on you at ALL times, unless you desperately need a quick energy boost)
Life syphon
Rebirth
Usage...
-when you get into area, start off by castng mending on yourself, the extra 3 pips help a load.
-stay as far back as possible, making sure you can quickly BiP a caster in need, Well corpses, but not draw aggro.
-You may want to establish if anyone needs constant BiP (like boon heal monks or elementalists specifically designed to abuse BiP).
-your priority is going to be order of pain, so start by doing, blood renweal, then order of pain, then BiP the targets established in previous step.
-You want to keep order on as much as possible, and since BiP lasts 12 seconds (with totem axe), you should not have trouble keeping that on assigned people.
-if you need an extra boost in heal, don't be afraid to heal area.
-if it seems party is taking lots of damage, get in range and use well of blood, it'll take a lot of stress off of monks.
-you can adjust to your needs, like if you have a load of casters who need BiP, you become a literal battery, so BiP now becomes priority.
-This build takes practice ot get used to, as you want to draw as little aggro as possible, but still be in range to BiP and Well.
-You WILL accidentally kill yourself when startng to use this build.
Well of blood...
Okay, if you take well of blood, you must first fulfill this requirement.
-No MM's in group, or there are plenty of corpses to go around.
If that is flfilled, yo must fulfill one of these.
-3+ meelee ranged people
-most enemies are meelee range
-your monk sucks
-Your tank give your monk the aggro
-You'rin a PuG with maybe one or two other guild mates (the above two fall under ths as well)
If you odn't wanna bring Well of blood, you can try enfeebling blood, to mass weaken a wave of mobs so it's easier ot keep yourself alivew with low hp. Another alternative is consume corpse, whch gives yo a bti more energy per dead person, but still takes MM's bodies.
This build works, and well, I've gotten a lot of compliments on ths build, and, now that 'm getting used to it, it's a lot easier to run. You just ened to find a comfortable rythm, and get used to calls for energy, they happen a lot in some groups.
--------------------------------
N/Mo 105/55 energizer
Okay, now this build uses both Blood is Power and order of pain to energize your entire group by keeping the casters topped off while at the same time maintaining order of pain to keep the physical attackers doing a load of damage more. Now, with the ridiculously low HP, and massive regen, the sac costs become a load easier to manage, meaning that you can keep the casters topped off at all times if you’ve gotten used to timings and how long spells take to cast, etc. I personally would suggest playing the version with 285 HP first, because you get used to staying in the back, drawing as little agro as possible, and the timings of things. This build gives you more freedom, but makes you a lot more fragile. Also, with this version, I suggest using the hotkeys for spells because you’re going to have to switch between all your group members in a constant cycle, including placing PS on yourself. Since using your mouse would make the time cast between spells longer, and your HP is low enough to do 2-3 successive casts of BiP, the hotkeys are your best option. Place the first four skills on your skill bar in places they are easy to reach with your fingers, that you can keep them on at all times. Also, it helps to hold the left and right mouse buttons down at the same time to run instead of using WASD.
Point allocation:
Blood: 12 +1 +3
Soul reaping: 9 + 3
Healing Prayers: 8
Protection prayers: 5
Basic Skills list for both…
Blood is Power
Order of Pain
Blood renewal
Protective spirit
Mending (must be on at ALL times)
Well of Blood
Heal Area (for 105, no replacement for 55 atm)
Rebirth (You’re actually probably gonna be the one most likely to survive if the rest of the group wipes)
Equipment:
For 105: +Energy armor with 5 sup runes and no hp enhancement, Totem axe, 20/20 max blood offhand that can be obtained from a trader.
For 55: +Energy armor with 5 sup runes and no hp enhancement, Totem axe, and -50hp offhand gotten from cities of ascalon quest.
Usages:
55 is more oriented towards maintaining BiP in a constant barrage of the skill, along with PS, due to lower energy and health. Whereas the 105 is more oriented towards maintaining both order of pain and BiP, but does not have the ability to keep BiP up even close to as well as the 55. Make the call as to which one to take, but if there are gonna be plenty of bodies, take the 55 unless enemies are coming from all sides.
-First, ask if anyone needs an energy boost the whole time, and for people to call if low on energy.
-First thing you do when you map into an area is cast mending on yourself; your soul reaping will give you enough energy.
-When you get into battle, stay back, and cast blood renewal, which should be on you constantly during battle.
-If you’re 55, keep up protective spirit as well, if you’re 105, only use if you get too close to the battle.
-Keep BiP on those who need it, and maintain order of pain at all times, if 55, order is second in priority to BiP.
-Use Well of Blood periodically to help out the monk, and if there’s a corpse near you, you can just sit in there and not worry about blood renewal actually.
-Stay as far away from enemies who can kill your enchants, still try to BiP those who need it, and maintain order, just be more careful.
------------------------
105 FoW Battery
Blood-9+1+3
Soul Reaping-9+3
Healing prayers-11
Protection prayers-6
Equipment-+energy armor, with 5 sup runes on it, totem axe, +12 energy 20/20 blood offhand.
105 HP
54 Energy
Blood Is Power
Protective spirit
Blood renewal
Vigorous spirit
Healing breeze
Remove hex
Mending
Rebirth
Reasons for stats: at 13 blood, you give +6 energy regen with BiP(and +6 health regen with Blood renewal), which is the most you can give without using Awaken or grenth statue, so no need to go over 13. You want 6 in protection because that gives you a PS that lasts long enough for you to BiP 5-6 casters. 11 in healing because vigorous spirit will half the sac cost of BiP at 11 healing, and HB will give you +7 health.
How to use...
-Basically, once you get to teh area, you cast mending on yourself, because those 3 pips of energy regen help a load.
-The basic thing to do is once you start battle, cast blood renewal and BiP 5-6 casters, and then renew Blood renewal when it runs out, do the same with vig spirit as it serves to effectively half the sac cost of BiP. Blood renewal with totem should last through a whole cylce of 5-6 casters, and it lasts as long as BiP (12 seconds with totem).
-Now, here are where the other spells come in, if you see a meelee unit make for you, cast PS on you, and for the rest of the battle, maintain it on yourself, and if you have a good group, bodies will fall consistantly neough for you to maintain it. If you see an ele or ranger, mantain PS on yourself until they die, because they WILL throw a random fireball or barrage your way.
-If there are mesmers around, cast PS and THEN blood renewal, it acts as a cover enchantment, so mesmers can't kill you with on strip. Make sure to keep PS on and covered at all times when fighting mesmers/necros(Healing breeze helps a load with this too).
-If you get backfired, SS'd, or hexed in any way that will hinder your performance, remove it ASAP, remove hex has saved my butt so many times.
-Rebirth is for when your group draws a load of agro, and you run the heck out of there, come out alive, and need to rez your entire group.
-You will want to keep all casters (aside from necros) topped off at all times, hit anyone else when they call, so you will have 0 downtime, especially with echo nukers
-Also, briing an extra set of armor to switch pieces if you die once, no runes (maybe a minor soul reaping or minor vigor) so you don't DP out.
Credit:Captain Roflcopter(my Necro)
EDIT: I use the +energy armor for all of these

Spiteful Speed and Bleed
Discussion Thread here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10036717
I was playing around with my necromancer and came up with this build that has turned out to be pretty darned effective.
I actually made a page on GuildWiki for it, my first contribution to that site.
Here are the particulars:
Profession: Necromancer/any
Attributes:
Curses 16 (12 + 1 + 3)
Soul Reaping 13 (12 + 1)
Blood Magic 4 (3 + 1)
Skill Set:
Reckless Haste
Spiteful Spirit {e}
Parasitic Bond
Suffering
Signet of Agony
Plague Sending
optional slot
Res (Res Signet or hard rez from secondary profession)
For the optional slot, consider Enfeebling Blood, Defile Enchantments, Chilblains, Well of Weariness, Awaken the Blood, Well of Blood, Blood Ritual, or Mark of Pain, among others. It truly is a free slot, and should be used to support the goals of a particular situation.
Equipment
* No particular armor set is required. You may wish to use Tormentor's Armor for the increased AL, and Bloodstained Boots if bringing a corpse targeting spell in the optional slot.
* Any Curses requirement weapon set is sufficient, with preference given to weapons that have a chance to halve cast time and recharge of Curses skills. Weapons that provide this as well as having a chance of +1 to your Curses attribute, such as The Stonereaper, are ideal.
Usage
Hold back until your tank has gathered the aggro, then choose a strong target, well positioned in the mob for adjacent effects. Cast Reckless Haste to cause them all to attack 25% faster but with a 52% chance to miss. Follow with Spiteful Spirit, which will then be triggering more often and cause more damage due to the increased attack speed. Cast Parasitic Bond to set up a heal for yourself and provide -1 degeneration, then follow with Suffering to provide -2 degeneration to your target and all adjacent foes. Now, use Signet of Agony to apply 25-second bleeding to yourself, followed immediately by Plague Sending to transfer those 3 pips of degeneration to your target and all adjacent foes.
Quickly cycle through the other targets in the mob, applying Parasitic Bond to each for the degeneration and self-heal. Each time Spiteful Spirit recharges, apply it to another target in the mob to spread more the AoE damage. Any conditions inflicted on you should be strategically sent to groups of foes with Plague Sending.
Counters
The build has no hex removal, and healing depends on Parasitic Bond expiring or ending with hex removal or the death of your target. As the build is heavy in the use of spells, skills that attack spells such as Backfire or Guilt are particularly effective counters. Long cast times for some spells make the build more susceptible to interrupts.
Credit: Me, Myself, and I (a limited partnership.)
(ok, so that was pretty much cut and paste from my wiki page, but you get the idea. )
Anyway, this build is fun to play and provides a nice amount of pressure while making the monk's job easier since over half the mob's attacks will miss.

this guy is a great caster shutdown for RA (can shutdown almost anything, but casters are obviously better to shutdown with interruptions)
profession: N/W
name: spinal meleemancer
type: RA (TA on very specific occassions), in AB get plague touch instead of res
category: shutdown and pressure
attributes:
curses - 12+1+1
swordsmanship - 12
soul reaping - 3+1
skills set:
1. quivering blade <e>
2. sever artery
3. gash
4. final thrust
5. flurry
6. spinal shivers
7. parabond
8. res sig
summary:
your first four skills are great spammable skills that do a good amount of damage.
the idea is to choose your target (a blight, an ele, a necro or any caster), cast SS covered with parabond and start hacking away with flurry constantly renewed (needles to say you're using an icy sword). try to keep S covered at all times and your target will only be able to fire off 1/2 seconds spells. this interrupts everything from warrior attacks to res sig, so you can choose any target you want really...
if you run out of energy (you rarely do), you still have your sword attacks, so you're still very useful.
notes and concerns:
there are a few things that hurt the build, and those are snares and not having a monk on your team. since you have no self-heal, you might run into problems, so you might want to spread parabond through the entire enemy party before you start, just in case.
if you want to run this in TA, make sure you have another character with hexes in your build, since it's still not too tough for a monk to remove the hexes, even with well placed parabonds. in TA, your job will be to take out the enemy monk...

Low life and high heal = no problem to be using Awaken the blood
This build = hardly die and i can join the rangers in the front and run in to ress
I sometimes switch Recuperation for Vampiric Swarm. 3x69dmg and 3x69hp for me = neat!
This build can keep Order of the Vampire up 91% of the time (Yes the math has been done)
Designed this on my own!

Skills
Summon Animated Flesh golem [E]
Summon Animated bone fiend
Summon Animated bone horror
Blood of the master
Rotting flesh
Deathly swarm
Vile maisma
Taste of death
----------------
Use them when you or your party has killed any enemy. Remember that you will create a massive degeneration if you use Rotting flesh + Vile maisma.
Once you have 10 minions, you can heal the rest of them And Drain 400+ health from one. That can lead it to die, but you can spawn more.
I dont use Deathly swarm often, but its good to hurt multiple targets.

Name: I dunno... I'm gonna hurt you?
type:RA/TA, some PvE use, GvG if you really want too
Category: Damage
Attributes:
-Blood Magic = 12+1+3
-Death magic = 10+1(10+2 if you feel like less health)
-Soul Reaping = rest
-(If you go something second for a cover hex split some of the soul reaping into whatever that hex is)
Weapon:
-Blood Wand with +5energy^50 and 20% chance faster blood recharge
-blood offhand with two +armor (not health, explained later in build)
-------------------
Skillz:
-Spoil Victor (blood){Elite}
-Awaken the blood (blood)
-Shadow Strike (blood)
-Vampiric Gaze (blood)
-Strip Enchantment (blood)
-Consume Corpse(Death magic)
-Mark of Subversion (or other cover hex)
-Rez Sig (If in AB consider another hex)
-------------------
Usage:
For RA, Start off near the middle of your group and quickly tab through available targets. Monks, Wars, and Sins are some of the better targets because they tend to trigger Apoil Victor the most. Start with awaken the blood, then move to the front of your group to cast spoil victor on your target. Follow up by using shadow strike if they're over 50% health then vampiric gaze. Strip any enchantments you can find when you have the oppurtunity.

When Spoil Victor recharges, either recast on your target if it was removed, or cast on another target. If you see anyone using a hard rez in RA, which is actually stupidly common, try to get mark of subversion off on them before they finish, mark will interupt the rez at the last second and steal 100 some life for you. Mark of subversion is also VERY useful against monks, and you should put it on them the moment it recharges. When corpses start coming up, use consume corpse. Theres plenty of other skills that could replace consume corpse but i find that this build creates enough dead bodies if done properly to use it as an effective kite, heal, and energy manager in later stages of the battle.
----------------------------
Variations are pretty much any cover hex to replace Mark of subversion or an energy management skill to replace consume corpse.
-----------
Counters:
Hex removal will hurt this build pretty badly, but being in RA, its unfortunately uncommon for the other team to have enough hex removal to keep spoil victor off permanently.
Is also weak against good interupting mes builds, especially migraine, because you cant kite away and your skills have longish cast times, so very easy to interupt.
KD's can be fairly annoying, but if a Sin or War approaches You should immediatly start kiting and cast spoil victor before they even reach you if its available.
---------------------
I've Been running this build in RA for a couple weeks now and i get flawless streaks VERY often, works extremely well with a monk on the team, and Iv'e gotten 4 glad points off it.
Credit: Would like to say me, I did do this build completely on my own, but there where probably tons of other people who where running similar versions of the build weeks before me
